2007 National Night Out at North Slope Park

Draws Neighbors For Treats and Talk

A night that started out feeling more like snow than rain was a possibility still did not prevent lots of neighbors away from the North Slope's annual National Night Night Out event at the North Slope Park on August 7th.

Along with lots of great food brought by many local residents, kids and adults alike were thrilled by the Tacoma Fire Department stopping by with a paramedic unit and two fire trucks as well as a vehicle from the National Guard reserve.

Fourth of July Kiddie Parade a Huge Success!

Children of all ages along with parents, grandparents and friends turned out in record numbers for the North Slope’s Second Annual Fourth of July Kiddie Parade.

The 2007 parade featured a tractor leading the way along with at least 3 floats, a variety of bikes, strollers and wagons and even people on J Street on the sidelines to root on those that participated.  Attendance was estimated to be approximately 250 people.   See below for pictures from the big event.
